    1. Candidates have recently switched industries and domains, hence are looking to start at low pay rates
    2. Candidates are looking to get paid a low rate to be able to get a foot in the door, and hopefully be offered a full-time gig by you!

We collect 15+ key attributes from both the freelancer and client, in the form of structured and unstructured data. Our data is collected through a simple, easy to fill form. Because we collect mostly structured data, our Machine Learning powered models are able to assign and refine weights for each of the 15+ feature vectors, and assess the best matches between projects and freelancers.

With every decision made by both the client and the freelancer, the algorithm gets smarter, so you can get the best project matches.

  6. What is your price?

SkillSoniq is free for companies to post unlimited projects and hire unlimited freelancers. We charge a 10% placement fee from freelancers in return for getting them projects.

After you interview the freelancer, you can send them a project offer from the “Candidates” menu option in your dashboard. Once the freelancer accepts your project offer, we run a background check on them which usually takes less than a day. After the background check is completed, we complete onboarding documentation with the freelancer after which they check into your office on day 1 of the project and start working with you.

After the freelancer starts working with you, they will start updating their timesheets, which you can view every day from your Dashboard.

  8. How do timesheets work?

Every day, you would be able to see the hours worked by the freelancer in your Dashboard. The freelancer will submit a weekly timesheet by Sunday. You will get notifications when weekly timesheets are submitted and can view the hours worked by the freelancer during the week. Based on hours worked by the freelancer, you will be billed by SkillSoniq every Monday for the previous week. We encourage you to review the hours worked by the freelancer before they submit their timesheets every week.

Constant communication with the freelancer is essential so that you do not get surprised by the hours clocked in by freelancers.

You will need to pay SkillSoniq every week by Friday at 11:59pm based on the number of hours worked by your freelancer from Monday through Sunday in the previous week. Once we receive payment from you, we will retain 10% placement fees and pass on the rest to your freelancers. Once you’re matched with a freelancer, our biggest piece of advice is to move quickly. Either present a project offer, or cancel the interview process within 5-10 business days. The longer you wait, the more companies and offers you’re going to be competing against.

  2. Why should I consider using SkillSoniq?

We are changing the way freelancers source and work on projects. To make things worse, you will be spammed by calls and emails from recruiters who will ask you to plant “fake skills” in your resume.

At SkillSoniq, we have automated the process of seamlessly getting projects for you by capturing 15+ key attributes from you and connecting you with projects that are relevant. Furthermore, once you are on a project, we try to capture feedback from you to get you more relevant projects where you will be happier. This way, all you need to do is ensure you submit a solid profile on SkillSoniq, and let us do the rest!

Once you accept a project offer, we will run a background check on you and work with you to complete onboarding documents – This usually takes less than a day. 7. How does the client track my hours?

When you start a project, you can go to your timesheet and “update” the hours you have worked every day so that your client can view your hours. At the end of each pay period, we ask all our freelancers to “submit” their timesheet for the week. The hours you have worked during the week should generally be discussed with the client before you submit your timesheet.

If there are delays in submitting the timesheet, your payments might get delayed, hence candidates should submit their timesheet between Friday and Sunday every week while they are on a project.
